伊恩 麦科伊

Dr. 伊恩 麦科伊 is a nephrologist who treats all kidney disorders, including acute kidney injury (kidney damage or failure that occurs suddenly), chronic kidney disease, electrolyte abnormalities and glomerular diseases (conditions that damage glomeruli, the blood vessels in the kidneys that filter waste).

麦科伊's research focuses on acute kidney injury. He is particularly interested in finding ways to help patients discontinue dialysis after acute kidney injury.

麦科伊 earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School, followed by a fellowship in nephrology at Stanford University. He also completed a master’s degree in epidemiology and clinical research at Stanford.

麦科伊 is a fellow of the American Society of Nephrology. He has received awards for his patient care at the West Roxbury Veterans Affairs Medical Center and Stanford Health Care.
